“No man is an island” (John Donne) and we all work as part of a wider system and in organisations this is in teams and groups. There are many reasons why teams and groups might not be working as effectively as possible which can be tackled with the support of team or group coaching. We have worked with numerous teams and groups to enhance team and group dynamics.
Based on research exploring what creates and sustains ‘fighting spirit’ i.e. what makes teams resilient and cohesive we know that the starting point for working with groups and teams is for the leader to be clear on vision, boundaries and expectations. Thereafter, it is important that the team get to know one another and are prepared to reveal their own vulnerabilities. To support this process, we can access a number of psychometric team profiling tools including: Lumina Spark, MBTI and 16PF.
In this work we draws on Lencioni’s framework as an approach for overcoming the dysfunctions of a team. Julia is supported by a network of team coaches, mediators, and facilitators in this space.
